ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Catherine, an amateur photographer based in DMV area (DC, Maryland, Virginia). Photography has always been a passion of mine, but it wasn't until I picked up my first DSLR camera in 2016 that I realized I had a little talent for capturing beautiful moments.

With a full time Senior Software Engineer job, and a busy family life, I really don't have the luxury to dive into photography. In my free time, I love to experiment with different types of photography that is available for me, for example, still life, portrait, architecture etc. There's something magical about being able to capture the beauty of our daily life or the energy of a bustling architecture on camera.

While I'm still an amateur photographer, I've had the opportunity to have some of my work published on top notch photography website, for example, 1x.com, Vogue online etc.  These experiences have been incredibly rewarding and have motivated me to continue honing my craft.

​

When I'm not behind the camera, you can find me curled up with a good book. Reading always inspired me with good imagination and ideas. I believe that photography has the power to inspire and bring people together, and I'm excited to see where my passion for photography takes me in the future.
